Payroll Clerk

Description

The Payroll Clerk will primarily be responsible to issue salaries, maintain the time and attendance system, and clearing any discrepancies with the respective employees. He/she will also handle day to day administration and e-mail correspondence, generating reports, filing, and other support duties.

Duties will include:

  • To administer the time and attendance and access control system;
  • To administer vacation and sick leave in accordance to Maltese legislation;
  • Termination and on-boarding of new employees by registering employees on the HR systems, collecting of documentation and keeping all necessary records up-to-date;
  • Filing and obtaining of work permits;
  • Day to day administrative duties as may be required from time to time.

Core competencies, Knowledge & Experience:

  • Must be able to work as part of a team but also independently;
  • An excellent eye for detail, well organised, reliable and trustworthy;
  • Capable of managing tight deadlines and work under pressure;
  • Must maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times;
  • Must have good knowledge of Microsoft applications, especially Excel;
  • Be familiar with Maltese employment legislation will be considered an asset.

Experience

  • A minimum of two-year experience in a similar role will be considered an asset
  • Experience in using Dakar would be considered an asset;
